I would like to thank you for such an excellent experience I’ve went through into learning how to ride a motorcycle. I’ve become more confident and proficient in this, and feel much safer. Your staff is awesome and very respectful. I recommend this class to any of my friends trying to begin to ride. Thanks again!

I just want to write to say that I thoroughly enjoyed my motorcycle training course. I’ve never ridden a motorcycle before in my life. I’ve always been interested in them ever since I was a little girl and always wanted to know more about them. I finally worked up enough courage to enroll in classes. I checked out a few websites

and classes of other companies but felt that MST was the right fit for my schedule and my level of experience (which was zero). I was extremely nervous and did not know what to expect, but those feelings quickly got pushed aside when I met Jennifer and Jeremy. They were AWESOME instructors and were very encouraging. I made many mistakes before I did something right and even through my mistakes they helped me to stay positive and to maintain my focus, not to live in the mistake just learn from it and move on. They continued to keep a positive atmosphere throughout the day and I left feeling confident and knowing that they equipped me with the basic skills I need to operate a motorcycle safely. I know I am a long way from being experienced but I plan to take more classes from MST, gain more experience and I know I will be ridin’ great in no time.
Thank you sooooo much,
Shawnika

About 2 years ago I took your State of Florida compliant basic rider class. I was disappointed that it was a requirement because I rode for a few years as a younger man. I don’t think I made it obvious to anyone but I began with less than a perfect attitude.

Fortunately for me, I changed that perspective quickly and made as much of the opportunity as I could.
I should have taken the time to write this note months ago, because I’ve known the truth of it since about 45 days after the class ended. That truth is that I believe your class is one of the most valuable classes I have ever taken. I am a private pilot and also in a profession that requires regular continuing education…I’m used to taking classes. Yours may have already saved my life; I can’t know that for sure, but I know it certainly has enhanced it.
Just like you, I am often faced with the discussion about the dangers of riding. It is usually begun by a concerned person that would prefer I didn’t ride a motorcycle, or from one considering the life style. In either case, I always tell them the same thing. I always agree with their concerns. I will usually even tell them that while I love riding I believe it is more dangerous than flying. I go on to tell them that is why they have to take the class to get their designation.
I suppose you have to become a real rider before you can really balance the risks and rewards of riding a motorcycle. How many times have all of us allowed the thought of “as dangerous as this is, I’m so happy to be right here, right now.” Every time I get on my bike (Harley Heritage) I review the state of the equipment, my gear, and I orient my mind to a heightened state of awareness. I never ride scared, if I ever do, it will probably be my last ride. I never ride “cocky” that too will probably get my bike sold. I ride aware of my circumstances; empowered by my skills, and loving the opportunity of the experience.
None of this would be possible had I not taken your class. I can’t know what other classes are like but I know yours was excellent. The highlight for me was the fact that the instructors were diligent in their duties and did everything they could to get us ready.
So, finally the purpose for this note; thank you and keep up the good work!

Greetings,
Excited and somewhat anxious, I decided to take the Jacksonville Motorcycle Safety Training School’s Basic Rider Training Course after purchasing a 250cc Vespa GTS. I hadn’t ridden a motorcycle since I was a teenager, and was somewhat intimidated by the thought of riding a powerful bike. After spending a short period of time with the instructors Cindy and Jim,

I felt confident in my ability to learn how to be a safe rider. Cindy was highly effective with the classroom portion of the course. I’ve worked in higher education for the past ten years, and was pleasantly surprised to learn that both instructors had a strong understanding of best practices in adult education. Cindy highlighted portions of the curriculum that were critical to riding safely and legally. She also did a great job of preparing us for the written exam.
Equally impressive was the manner in which Jim and Cindy were able to teach the actual practice of riding safely on the range. There was a wide range of experience levels in the class that I was in, but I think we all learned a lot. Jim explained each exercise that the students were to perform clearly, which was followed by a demonstration. After each rider performed a drill, the rider coaches reviewed their performance individually. I was also quite impressed with the advice the instructors gave us about motorcycles that would be appropriate for each one of the students.
Overall I can’t say enough good things about the course. The curriculum was strong, the instructors were fantastic, the bikes were in good repair, and we had a lot of fun! I highly recommend this class to anyone interested in learning how to ride.

(Feb. 8, 2011) Hey Mr. Dobbs,
I just wanted to write you to tell you how much your school has helped my riding and more importantly awareness while riding! I came to your school as a prerequisite for my license. I am a stunt rider

and thought that there would be nothing that your school could teach me. After having class with Cindy and ken and listening to them I learned a lot. The lessons they taught me have saved my xxx more than once on the road! There was one in specific that ken told us about never putting my bike in neutral at a light or a stop sign. He said that if I had to move the bike to escape a motorist who is not paying attention I would not be able to. He told us a story of how that saved his life. I always remembered that as I had that bad habit! Well I wanted to show you this video of a guy we rode with to say thanks to your school for all you do to help riders get the most enjoyment out of being a rider and doing it as safely as you can!!!! P.s. Please tell Cindy I would still take my Honda over her BMW Anyday.lol
(Oct. 5, 2010) Hi, I just graduated this past weekend woohoo! I want to say thankyou to Mr. Mike Dobbs for the great class experience. Great sense of humor. I have to say, with never being on a bike before I was nervous,

but more of an excited nervous, and I felt so lucky to have the best rider coaches. They exceeded my expectations and both Cindy and Jim really gave me the confidence I needed to execute the drills. You guys have a great program and I am so thankful for having this experience to enter into the world of motorcycles. Please let Cindy and Jim know that they are awesome. Thankyou so much, Denise B.
